Senior Lotus Notes / Domino Developer (Arlington, VA)

General Description:

     The Lotus Notes/Domino developer requires hands on experience with Lotus Domino 8.0 database development.  Lotus Domino 8.0 is used in conjunction with design programs such as Adobe Photoshop or Macromedia Dreamweaver to create secure and unsecure web based applications.  Work with Army officials to define requirements and create easy-to-use applications.  Domino Developers are responsible for developing code for  multiple concurrent applications to meet all client requirements to include design, research, and problem-solving.

Requirements:
  • 6+ years application development experience with Lotus Notes Domino
  • 6+ years experience operating web based applications
  • Hands on experience of latest web technologies (XML, JSON, AJAX)
  • 3+ years of experience creating and using Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)
  • 6+ years of experience with Domino security to include access control lists
  • 6+ years of experience in developing applications involving large numbers of documents without affecting application performance
  • 2+ years of experience with Dreamweaver and Java Script
  • Certified Lotus Professional with R6 certification
  • Knowledge of DB2 connectivity from Domino a plus

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

  • Determine market strategies & goals for each product and service.
  • Obtain & coordinate data & information from staff & member groups
  • Research and develop lists of potential customers.
  • Doing market research to determine customer needs & providing information to other staff .
  • Evaluating product & service marketability in terms of customers’ technical & manufacturing needs.
  • Following up on sales leads and making cold calls on potential customers.
  • Establishing & maintaining industry contacts that lead to sales.
  • Maintaining up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments that effect target markets.
  • Assist Proposal team with developing sales and marketing proposals for customers on technical products & services.
  • Participate in sales forecasting and planning in an effective manner by researching, developing & maintaining long & short range sales & marketing plans.
  • Produce regular reports & final plans for the Manager’s approval.
  • Maintain an up-to-date awareness of strategic plans and procedures to coordinate market plans.
  • Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of newly developing technologies.

Requirements:

  • A proven sales professional with strong background in Federal and Commercial IT and Communications Installation sales is needed.
  • 2 yrs hands on communications or technical experience plus 3 yrs successful related sales OR 5+ yrs successful related sales.
  • Knowledge of commercial, federal and government construction and service RFP and Bid process.

HELPERS/LABORERS

This is a entry-level position with on-the-job training. Assist Installers and Technicians in the physical installation of structured cabling systems including but not limited to UTP, ScTP, optical fiber cabling, CCTV, CATV, security system wiring and all associated support structures. The work will be performed in new construction, renovation; in inside and outside environments. Participate in the installation of high-voltage electrical systems and associated support systems.

Requirements:

  • This is an introductory position and technical experience is preferred but is not mandatory.
  • Punctuality, strong work ethic and a willingness to learn are required in lieu of experience.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must have reliable transportation and able to work outdoors.
